FIBA Asia 2013: South Korea vs Malaysia Full Game Replay
Malaysia finished with its best result in the preliminary round of the FIBA Asia Championship, falling to South Korea by a mere 22 points, 80-58, on Saturday at the Mall of Asia Arena.
The Malaysians were victims of extremely lopsided results in their first two outings against Iran and China, the winners of the last seven editions of the Asian tournament. Iran battered Malaysia, 115-25, on opening day before China did the same thing with a 113-22 scoreline.

FIBA Asia Championship 2013. Defending champion China, reeling from a shocking opening day loss in the FIBA Asia Championship, vented its frustration on hapless Malaysia, 113-22, on Friday at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Teenage center Wang Zhelin led the charge with 21 points and eight rebounds while veteran campaigner Wang Zhizhi added 17 and five for China, which topped Iran’s 90-point victory over Malaysia on Thursday.

Malaysian player died en route to FIBA Asia Championship
The Malaysian national basketball team will carry tragedy into the FIBA Asia Championship, after one of their roster, 25-year-old Jack Ng Kiat Kee, passed away in China on Sunday, Malaysia's national news agency Bernama, reported.
The 6'5" center collapsed on the bench while playing in an invitational tournament, as part of the country's preparations for the regional tiff, Malaysian Basketball Association (MABA) secretary-general Chey Tat Woon confirmed to Bernama.
