UAAP: Tab Baldwin officially named Ateneo's new head coach
It’s a done deal: The Ateneo de Manila Blue Eagles have officially declared Tab Baldwin as their new head coach.
The announcement was made on Monday afternoon (December 7) in a statement released by Ateneo president Fr. Jose Ramon “Jett” Villarin, SJ which was posted on the university's official website.

La Salle Green Archers rally from 15 down, defeat Ateneo Blue Eagles (VIDEO)
Josh Torralba and Jeron Teng struck hard in the stretch as La Salle rallied from 15 points down to prevail over arch rival Ateneo, 80-76, in the UAAP Season 78 men’s basketball tournament before roaring 17,738 fans at the MOA Arena yesterday.
Torralba knocked it down from the corner to give La Salle the upperhand, then Teng took care of business at the line to put the finishing touches to the hard-earned win, their fourth in seven outings in the first round.
The victory propelled DLSU to a share of third with the Eagles.

UAAP Season 78 Men's Basketball First Round Schedule Revealed
ABS-CBN Sports on Monday unveiled the schedule of the first round of the UAAP Season 78 men's basketball tournament, along with the UAAP Cheer Dance Competition.
The UAAP Cheer Dance Competition will be held on October 3 at the Mall of Asia Arena, ahead of the first round showdown between traditional rivals Ateneo de Manila University and De La Salle University, which is scheduled for October 4, also at the MOA Arena.

All hail the kings: Ateneo De Manila Blue Eagles crowned themselves as 77th UAAP men's volleyball champion after sweeping the dethroned National University in the best-of-three finals.
Ateneo de Manila University made history by winning its first ever title, dethroning the two-time defending champion National University, 23-25, 25-23, 25-23, 25-15, Saturday in Game 2 of the best-of-three 77th UAAP men’s volleyball finals series at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

MVP Kiefer Ravena, Jeron Teng, Belo, Newsome, Abdul named UAAP 77 Mythical team
ATENEO star Kiefer Ravena was officially proclaimed MVP of Season 77 of the UAAP men's basketball tournament on Wednesday - another high point in what has so far been a bounce-back season for the Blue Eagles.
Ravena totalled 77.6429 points in the statistical rankings released by the league's stats provider Imperium Technology and Smart Bro to bag his first league MVP award, a confidence boost for the third-year guard heading to the Final Four where the Blue Eagles will be the top seed.

UAAP 77: FEU protests their costly defeat to Ateneo
Far Eastern University (FEU) has put under protest its costly loss to the Ateneo Blue Eagles in their second-round game of the UAAP Season 77 men's basketball tournament last September 13.
The Tamaraws lost to the Blue Eagles, 64-68, in overtime, allowing Ateneo to seal the top spot and earn a twice-to-beat advantage in the Final Four, while sending FEU into a virtual best-of-three series against defending champion De La Salle University.

Thirdy Ravena, Arvin Tolentino commit to Ateneo Blue Eagles
ATENEO'S rebuilding program after seeing its run of five straight UAAP championships come to an end this season got a major boost when blue-chip prospects Arvin Tolentino and Thirdy Ravena committed to join the Blue Eagles beginning next season, sources said.
The 6-foot-5 Tolentino is widely regarded as the finest junior player in the country today, having won championships in all his years with the San Beda Red Cubs while standing out in several national teams in campaigns overseas.

Thirdy Ravena open to play for Ateneo with brother Kiefer
THIRDY Ravena has yet to decide where to play in college, but considering the controversial UAAP residency requirement for transferees and a possible partnership with elder brother Kiefer, the rising star may just stay put at Ateneo.
Thirdy said that aside from his father, former pro Bong Ravena, big brother Kiefer was a key factor in the development of his game and the younger Ravena is open to the possibility of being teammates with the current King Blue Eagle.

Ateneo alumni Greg Slaughter applies for 2014 PBA Rookie Draft
Former Ateneo slotman and many-time national player Greg Slaughter heads the initial cast of applicants for the 2014 PBA Annual Rookie Draft set on November 3 at Robinson’s Place Ermita in Manila.
The 6-11 Slaughter, a key figure in the Blue Eagles’ UAAP championship run the past few years, beat the deadline set for Fil-foreigners on September 12 to become the first of an expected bumper crop of quality big men to adorn next season's draft pool.

Kiefer Ravena's Mission: To win next two UAAP titles
Ateneo guard Kiefer Ravena will be a man on a mission in the next two years as he strives to win the UAAP championship in his final two seasons in the league.
Ravena and the rest of the Blue Eagles ended their season a lot earlier than they would like after losing to the University of Santo Tomas in their last game of the elimination round, which allowed the Growling Tigers to snatch the last berth in the Final Four.

UST claims last spot in UAAP 76 Final Four; eliminates Ateneo
After five years, there will be a new champion in the UAAP, after the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Growling Tigers defeated the Ateneo Blue Eagles, 82-74, to claim the last spot in the Final Four of the UAAP Season 76 men's basketball tournament.
The two teams who faced off for the UAAP crown in Season 75 battled for the last Final Four berth Wednesday at the Araneta Coliseum, and this time, it was the Growling Tigers who came out on top.

The Ateneo Blue Eagles and UST Growling Tigers will find themselves in a battle that will set their fate in stone in the UAAP Season 76 men's basketball tournament.
Ateneo and UST slug it out at 4PM tomorrow at the SMART-Araneta Coliseum in a win-or-go-home match for the last Final Four berth, while the University of the East and University of the Philippines try to end their season on a winning note in the 2PM tussle.

UAAP Cheerdance Competition 2013 - All Schools Performance VIDEO
The National University Bulldogs Pep Squad won the UAAP Cheerdance Competition title on Sunday, wowing the judges with a flawless routine inspired by Aladdin for 696.5 points.
Boasting of an aggressive recruitment program, NU completed its climb to the top after making its first podium appearance last year, when its finished third. Two seasons ago, the Bulldogs Pep Squad finished sixth in the competition.

UAAP 76: Men's Basketball Final Four possible scenarios
The men's basketball action for UAAP Season 76 is down to its final two playdates but the Final Four picture is not yet set as two teams are still fighting for the last twice-to-beat advantage, while two other teams are still knocking on the semis doors.
Far Eastern University (10-4) and De La Salle University (9-4) are jockeying for the second win-once edge as National University (10-4) is the only team guaranteed with the win-once bonus in the Final Four.

Ateneo wants La Salle representatives out of UAAP board
Ateneo de Manila University board representative Ricky Palou asked for the removal of La Salle representatives Henry Atayde and Edwin Reyes from the UAAP Board during their meeting on Thursday, claiming that they are not qualified for the position.
No forfeiture on Ateneo-UE game; coach Bo Perasol suspended anew
The Ateneo Blue Eagles will not be forced to forfeit their victory against the University of the East (UE) Red Warriors last September 8, but head coach Bo Perasol has been suspended for their last game of the elimination round.
A source close to the league board told ABS-CBN News that the Blue Eagles will not be forced to forfeit their 77-72 win, which was put at risk after UE filed a letter seeking clarification.

The National University (NU) Bulldogs held off a late-game charge by the Ateneo Blue Eagles to claim a 70-65 victory and clinch a twice-to-beat edge in the Final Four of the UAAP Season 76 men's basketball tournament Wednesday at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Two-time UAAP Most Valuable Player Bobby Ray Parks scored 24 points and grabbed seven rebounds, and assisted on a dagger three-pointer by Denice Villamor that allowed NU to gain separation from Ateneo with just 22 seconds to go in the contest.
