My esteemed colleagues.
I stand before you, honored and humbled by your trust and confidence in me. It is indeed a great privilege to lead, for the fourth time, this august chamber.
Sen. Franklin Drilon elected as Senate President
Senator Franklin Drilon has been elected as the Senate President having 17 senators voted in favor of him while only 6 senators voted in favor of Senator Juan Ponce Enrile. With that, Sen. Enrile automatically becomes the Senate Minority Leader after gaining 2nd highest votes for Senate President.
The 17 Senators who voted for Sen. Franklin Drilon are: Senators Juan Edgardo Angara, Bam Aquino, Loren Legarda, Francis Escudero, Alan Peter Cayetano, Cynthia Villar, Aquilino Pimentel III, Antonio Trillanes IV, Grace Poe, Pia Cayetano, Ralph Recto, Ferdinand Marcos Jr., Teofisto Guingona III, Sergio Osmena III, Lito Lapid, Bong Revilla and Juan Ponce Enrile.
Japan to bring Sakuragi in FIBA Asia Championship
The Japanese national men’s basketball team will be leaning on an athletic forward named Sakuragi in its campaign in the FIBA Asia Championship.
